Baby Dedication

Children are a gift from God and we are very excited that you are planning to dedicate your precious baby with us. Dedicating your child is a public commitment you make before God, the church and family. It represents your desire to nurture your child spiritually.

In 1 Samuel 1:27-28, Hannah prayed year after year for God to give her a child and he answered her prayer by blessing her with a son who she named Samuel. When Samuel was born Hannah said: "For this boy I prayed, and the Lord has given me my petition which I asked of Him. So I have also dedicated him to the Lord; as long as he lives he is dedicated to the Lord." Also, in Luke Chapter 2, following the birth of Jesus, Mary and Joseph took baby Jesus to the temple and dedicated Him. In both instances, these precious children were given back to God in dedication and entrusted to His care. Thank you for taking a similar step.
