CONSECRATE THE PEOPLE

A Praying Church is a Holy Church
During these 30 Days of Prayer God is calling his people to Renewal of our Covenant commitment to Jesus Christ.
If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chron. 7:13-14 KJV
The healing of our land is waiting on the repentance of God’s people, so is the healing of our marriages, personal relationships, our bodies, our finances, our churches and cities. Now is the time for us to return to a right relationship with God. When the people of God have a right relationship with God all other relationships will be put in its proper perspective.
We all must humble ourselves and put away our pride and seek the face of God in sincere prayer. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Pride is a sin that stands in opposition to God. He aggressively opposes it. When we the people of God pray and sincerely seek the face of God, He will hear our cry and we will see His hand demonstrate healings, miracles and deliverance. The very act of private and public prayer is an indication that we are a people who need the help of God.
A lack of prayer and indifference to public and corporate prayer demonstrates pride and self-righteousness which is a sign that we sense no need for the help of God in our lives. Lack of diligent, consistent and sincere prayer in the life of a Christian is a sure sign of our love for Christ growing cold. Prayer and seeking the face of God will release new spiritual life and vibrancy in the ministry of the church. Prayer will bring a fresh wind of the Spirit of God in the congregation, enabling believers to be filled with the Holy Ghost.
A praying church will bring transformation and revolution in the life of the Christians which would significantly impact the community. The words of the old hymn of the church would become a practical experience when it states; “Take time to be Holy speak often with your Lord; Abide in Him always, and feed on His Word. Make friends of God’s children help those who are weak; forgetting in nothing His Blessings to seek.” A praying Church is a church fulfilling its mission in the world.
